The Lake District 10 Peak Challenge |
At 3 Challenges we have designed a unique mountain challenge that takes in some of the best peaks within the Lake District National Park. It is an arduous challenge that requires a high level of fitness with mental and physical stamina needed throughout this event. The route takes in the highest mountain in England, Scafell Pike at 978m and a number of other well known summits that provide you with fantastic elevated positions throughout the journey. Starting at Buttermere and finishing on the highest mountain in England our challenge is an amazing mountain journey that you will find tough but rewarding and extremely memorable. |
We offer an all-inclusive 'great value' weekend event where collection from Penrith railway station is included in the price. Staying at Buttermere YHA on the Friday evening (with 3 course dinner) 3 Challenges staff provide a digital presentation on the challenge, health and safety and discuss the weather to be expected and issue any equipment you require. We have top of the range 'Event Fabric' waterproofs, lightweight boots if required, rucsacs and head torches. All food and drinks for the event are provided by us and additional stocks are available at a refuelling point that we have set up - we deploy our mountain 'sherpa' (secret weapon) to meet us! Once you have completed the challenge on Scafell Pike summit and after s short champagne celebration and photo/video session we descend to Wasdale where our campsite has been set up. All of your baggage can be found in you own tent (single occupancy). Excellent toilet and shower facilities can be found at the National Trust campsite and 3 Challenges provide a fantastic evening meal in our large party tent 8m x 4m. The famous Wasdale Inn is only a short walk should you have the energy to have a few celebratory drinks?? In all, a great weekend that is challenging and rewarding and expertly organised. |
