Jason is the owner of Distant Horizons UK Ltd which is the parent company of 3 Challenges and this was set up in 1993 and became incorporated as a limited company in March 2003. Jason has been involved in the outdoors since 1980 when he learnt to ski at school and went on to work full time in the outdoor industry from the age of 17 undertaking his apprenticeship at Benmore Centre in Scotland. Jason runs many of the events and provides much of the work that goes into the health and safety element of the business providing detailed information for all of the groups undertaking a 3 Challenge - the safety of our clients will always be our number one priority. As director of the company it is Jason's aim to ensure that all of the events that are offered are run to the highest possible quality standard and that a smooth, seamless and highly enjoyable experience is provided. | |||||

| Jim has been active in the great outdoors for a huge amount of years running courses and trips throughout the UK and further a field to places like Greenland and Canada. The former owner of Carlisle Canoes Jim is now happiest being on the water with a canoe or kayak paddle doing what he does best - sharing his great knowledge and passion for paddle sports. When out with Jim you know you are in the hands of a canoeing guru!! | ||||||

| Martin is our regular canoe and kayak instructor who provides expert coaching and support on the many water based challenges we operate. Martin is highly qualified in both kayaks and open canoes with a huge amount of experience and who is a highly active member of the Carlisle Canoe Club training and coaching many people to a very high standard. You are guaranteed a safe and enjoyable time whilst in Martin's very capable hands out on the water. | ||||||
Graham Saunders |

Graham is our Scottish mountain man based in Roslin near Edinburgh who has been walking and climbing for the last 20 years in Scotland and knows most of the mountains having been up all of them! If you struggle to pronounce any place names whilst in Scotland don't panic Graham will help you get your tongue around this with his superb Gaelic knowledge. Graham is a summer and winter mountain leader holder and has considerable Himalayan experience as well as ice climbing experience in both the USA and Canada. Graham will be attempting to climb Ama Dablam in the Khumbu region of Nepal in October 2007, Cho Oyu in 2008 and finally Everest in 2009! You could not be in more experienced and knowledgeable hands whilst in the mountains! |
